Thinking about Problems - Giving Advice
Wednesday April 18, 2007
"He must have been on vacation", "She can't really think he likes her.", "They might be in trouble." - all of these sentences illustrate conclusions we make based on what we know. Modal verbs of deduction - as well as giving advice - is the subject of this new lesson plan for teenagers called Teenage Problems. Adult classes might want to use A Difficult Situation - another lesson plan focusing on modal verbs of deduction, but with a more adult problem.

I like your couse very much. learning english with you is easy. Particulary, i like the 850 words of vocabulary. I chek every one, if I find a new word for me, I get it in my book. thank you.

Thank you very much for these reading comprehensions! I like the way you’ve helped us, EFL teachers, to teach modal verbs of deduction. And the situations are so real! An hour won’t be enough with all this material. Thanks.

When I signed up for your newsletter I had no idea that I would be receiving material that I could easily integrate into my 2nd year of teaching overseas. Your newsletter is really an excellent resource for foreign teachers ‘in the know’ but always ‘on the go’. Using your material as a reference, I access my notebook and prepare my lesson plans while in the states, on the plane, and in Shanghai. Thank-You Kenneth Beare
