Thursday January 25, 2007
Points of View is an intermediate to advanced level discussion lesson that asks students to rate their opinions from one to ten (1 - strongly agree / 10 - strongly disagree) on a number of controversial issues. The worksheet can be used in a number of ways, and for a number of purposes during any course.

(1) Wendy says:

I think it is extremely important for students to express themselves while learning. Giving them a structured activity helps take away the nervousness of expressing themselves on their own. This activity will surely help not only with students being able to express themselves, but also in gaining confidence in speaking.

(2) Flore Laurent says:

that’s sure because the best thing is practicing and being able to express opinion and ideas so if you don’t have that culture you won’t be able to have confidence so it’s very important for students to developp that skill .In the beginning it’s difficult but with practice confidence will come .

That’s totally true. You can develop both writing and speaking at the same time because most of us write as we talk. I recommend putting in practice and improving these skill.
