Definition: make a great effort while disregarding danger; make a maximum effort despite difficulties

Explanation: Used when speaking about an effort that is required which is beyond normal measure.

Examples: Well, I guess it is do-or-die so decide if you really want to join our team. - He was in a do-or-die situation to the bitter end.
