eager beaver

Definition: someone who is always ready to please other people; someone who is always ready to work hard

Explanation: Often used as in a negative sense for someone who is overly willing to make people happy, or do extra work.

Examples: Don't be such an eager beaver, we'll get to it in good time. - Janet is such an eager beaver, she really bothers me!
