Definition: return to good financial or physical health after a difficult period

Explanation: Usually used when talking about someone who has had a long period of difficulties. It can also be used during sports.

Examples: He is finally back on his feet after his company went out of business. - It took us a whole year to get back on our feet after we lost our home in the earthquake.
