Definition: patiently wait for an opportunity to occur; wait for something else to happen

Explanation: Used when showing that someone has to wait for another event to happen before doing something else

Examples: He is biding his time as he waits to become president of the company. - I'm afraid you will have to bid your time until the position opens.
