Definition: on the point of doing something; to be ready to do something new

Also Known As: Often used when explaining that you are going to begin a new action. This action is often, but not always, interrupted by another action.

Examples: I'm just about to leave for school. - She was about to leave when the phone rang. - He's about to begin a new job.
