Definition: at odds with; in disagreement with; not get along with

Explanation: Used to show positions that do not agree. Also used to express a difficult relationship with someone.

Examples: I'm afraid I'm at cross purposes with my boss this month. - Tom and Jack are at cross purposes and don't seem able to resolve their differences.
