Present Continuous - Tense

By Kenneth Beare, About.com Guide

Definition:

1) The present continuous is used to speak about what is happening at the present moment in time. For example, 'He's watching TV at the moment.'

2) Also use the present continuous to speak about what is happening AROUND the moment in time. For example, if you are working on a project for only two weeks, you say: ‘I am working on the Smith account.’ This is because this is not a routine, but, rather a project that is happening AROUND the moment in time.
