Guide Review - Dictionary Review - Babylon - translation @ a click

I've been using Babylon for many years now and can highly recommend trying it out. Babylon offers a free trial, so it certainly is worth giving a try to find out if it can help you with your daily studies or work. The best thing about Babylon is that it provides definitions and translations directly from any web page or document. There is no need to open a separate program. Babylon runs on your computer, and when you click on a word or a phrase, up comes the definition or translation.

Babylon goes much farther than any ordinary dictionary. It provides a translation engine for full texts in 17 languages, pronunciation examples at a click, the possibility of related encyclopedia and thesaurus entries, currency, unit conversions and much more.

For some users, the price tag might be a bit high (around $70). However, for anyone who loves - or needs - to study and work on a computer, there simply is no better dictionary available.

Dictionary Limitations, Member QuietSetting

The limitations of the Greek to English dictionary are so bad, that it only translates about 25% of what I submit. A lot of the translations I am trying to make are colloquial, conversational Greek, which contains quite a bit of slang, I'm sure. The Italian to English works fairly well, but again it could use some improvement. About 25% of the translation is lost due to the program's inability to understand common dialect. Really, they actually want someone to pay for this garbage? I'm surely not.
