Inside this FREE weekly magazine are topical articles written in English and Translated to Japanese. I let the students read it in Japanese to understand the story.
Lesson Plan Format
I or we then read it in English picking up new vocabulary and looking up new words and then discuss the article. A word of Caution, sometimes the English is not written well, but in most case it good for the purpose.
Advice
- Student and Teacher reads Bi lingual article in own language.
- Student reads in Target language,
- Identify new vocabulary in target language
- Look up words
- Identify pronunciation problem words.
- Practice pronunciations
- Discuss the story
