Learning through Home Improvement

Monday September 19, 2005
Here is a twist on English learning that makes a lot of sense. Learning through working on home improvement.

It looks like an art class or language school -- a group of children having a blast learning how to paint, while being taught in English...Lee Jisook, a 38-year-old housewife whose children also took the class, said: "I can do shopping while putting my kids in the class. To kids it's like killing two birds with one stone as they can learn both English and painting."

Here's a lesson that uses the same idea: focusing on telephoning - by actually telephoning.
